Too much emphasis is given to Wind Turbines as they “do not prevent land use beneath them”. They are a blot on the landscape, cause low frequency noise and blade flicker and would ruin the “Big Skies” Vistas we all know and love. If more consideration of how far off the ground Solar panels are mounted and leaving small gaps beneath any security fencing around the installation was implemented. Then use of the Grass land under the Panels could be for livestock or if sown with wild flowers could help Housing Developers increase their biodiversity count. The gap beneath the security fencing would allow wildlife to access the area too. There would also be Employment opportunities for the maintenance of the Grassland areas. Solar panels neither move around or make any noise.
